watching the singapore idol live on wednesday was really an exhilarating experience! the damn show coordinator called malcolm or whatever with a head of golden hair kept shouting at us to shout and scream louder when it was still 2 minutes to the start of the show. like what the hell. let us protect our throats first before we get high in full blast when the show begins k? then the audience would see what a superoobs exciting show it is and then you'd get more viewership :)
our tickets were actually for seats in the balcony [which were on the 2nd level] and it was such a disappointment cuz you can barely feel the atmosphere up there with all the camera equipment blocking your view. so we crept down to the stall seats yay! plus plus plus! i got to sit in the jonathan section! then jonathan's father came n told us that the 4 seats were for a group of friends so we had to shift down to the 2nd row which had a better view :))))
this was the 2nd time i witnessed how a LIVE show worked in mediacorp. [first one being jack neo's comedy night] and i was kinda surprised at how gurmit warned the people in the mosh pit to always be active n alive or they'd have to get sent out of the mosh pit. poor them. what if the song was really damn boring? they'd still have to pretend to enjoy it and wave their arms in the air just to give the viewers at home a better show. if the singer wasnt really letting the audience feel the song im sure the audience at home would just as well switch channels aniwaes.
but watching the performances live was incredible!! i thought hady, jonathan and jasmine did well! paul twohill's chinese diction really couldnt make it but at least he held the song in tune hahaha. and at the last part where jon was leaving the stage &waving about, i waved at him and he looked &waved directly at me! hahahahha.
my friend was like "eh he waved at u leh." and i was like YAY YEYAH WHOOPEE!:DD
