Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

somehow the title of the movie reminds me of the Wizard of Oz. anyone read that story before? Haha. It was one of my childhood stories and involved a girl (i think), a Tin Man, a Lion and something else on the way to kill the witch because the whole town was being frozen or something.

The beginning of the movie was intriguing. The actors had deep British accent and the story definitely got me following pretty closely and intensely. Oh and Peter was rather charming hehe =P But once it came to the part when Aslan was killed and Lucy and Sarah crying, it got pretty rushed. The war happened too quickly that it didn't give me much feeling of bravery and courage on the whole. I even thought there'd be a sequel or something because the whole thing was happening too fast. Hahhahha and the ending wasn't very nice.

But overall the scenery, the animation and the talking animals were cute to watch! The part where Aslan (the Lion) was killed, his eyes exposed a deep hollow feeling of sadness as i watched the evil Witch and her subordinates tie him up and torture him. It was so sad la i almost cried. They even shaved his mane away.

But... *Spoiler Alert*

Aslan was revived!

dont tell u how and why =P

oh and after the movie i went to Borders and bought the set of Chronicles of Narnia comprising of 7 books! which cost $99+

i thought the books were something like novels but to my dismay, they were actually fairytales.

i think i shall go revive my childhood
HHAHA =D
