somebody savvvvveeeeeeeeeeeee meeeeeee.. i dont care how you do it *sings* just stayyyyy with meeeee [it's save me by remy zero by the way. song from smallville yay! though i dont watch it animore.]
well lets talk about american reality tV shall we. recently, whats big on channel5 is americA's next tOp mOdel whoo!
what i dont get is. every season, yes and i mean every single season since the first season which i started watching last year or 2 years ago can't remember but the winner for the first season was adrianne SEE I STILL REMEMBER muahahaha. okay back to my point, i notice that every season of TNTP [the next top model] is bound to have at least one african american girl which gets on everyone's nerves.
for example in season 1:
it was Robin

and in season 2 there was the boastful Camille

whom everyone hated and named when asked who they would choose to be the one to get eliminated
not forgetting Xiomara

who apparent caused lotsa problems with her complainings or some sort. but whom i think is actually a very nice person who stood by Katie (another one of the girls) during the photo shoot when she had fear of heights and also lent a earring to some other girl.
and now in the current season showing, there's Brandy

yeah well i admit she looks scary. but she's alright unless someone provokes her [just like what those other white girls did, ganging up to aggravate her] then she would lash out at them.
and also Tiffany

who's apparently portrayed as getting drunk, stinking up the whole place [while the other girls stand at a side and curl up their nose in disgust], prone to violence and anger.. ah you know, the usual.
haha. okies my point is, i think the show's producer(s) have some kind of conspiracy going on here huh. they're recruiting these african american girls who've some slight social problem and then they blow up their whole "attitude problem" or some matter to attract viewership. and in turn, they create a kind of stereotype, making people believe that black girls are either 1.) violent 2.) bitchy 3.) arrogant.. or all 3.
and what's fishy is that these african american girls normally don't get kicked off the first few rounds. well, if they're making so much trouble why dont the judges just eliminate them? but they don't. they allow them to move on until the final few rounds then they drop the axe on them mercilessly. this is to make sure that their show is not labelled as racist. imagine if the african american girls were to be kicked out the first few rounds, weren't there be outcries of unfairness? therefore by allowing them to move on until the final stages, they can claim that they gave the girl(s) some chance.
although i follow the show rather religiously, i know that what i see on tV may not be what i get. the manipulating skills the editors have-- cutting out some particular scenes and to advertise the certain scenes repeatedly-- has definitely an effect on how certain people have misconceptions about the "characters" they view on tv.
hehe. aniwaes i like Naima!! look at the cool mohawk!

i'm sorry this is a rather abrupt ending. HAHA :D
