hey. currently sloshing down bird's nest with rock sugar [brand's brand by the way] which is supposedly mi dinner muahahaha. aint i leading a luxurious lifestyle.
randomness. guess what?! yea know there was the prelim chemistry practical on friday right. and i was kinda online on thursdae. but i didnt wanna blog about it cuz apparently i blogged about the o level oral some time back and i kinda screwed it up on that day. badly. that i wanted to cry out loud cuz the examiner was one big meanie who laughed at what i was saying. i would never forget the day i was traumatised by english oral examiner meanie. aniwaes sorrie for the digression. yah so i didnt blog bout the chem prac prelim cuz i thought it was bad luck to blog bout havin an exam the next day due to my previous bad experience. once seen ghost, forever scared of dark [translate to chinese please :D]
and the chem prelim turned out pretty well. i guess. i managed to obtain the same burette readings for the first two tries! 18.70cm3 yup yups. though i was pretty apprehensive about my accuracy [how come so zun can get same result on first two tries? shld i titrate another time??]
but i decided to forgo the indecisiveness and proceeded to the calculation and answering part hehe. as a result i had time to complete the qualitative analysis yay yay yay!!! but once again i was in cold sweat [or rather, warm sweat cuz we had to do quite a number of heating. especially heat strongly which left trickles of perspiration on my forehead. but i like the hissing sound hehe.] for the testing of gases. all i that i obtained seemed to be C02 CO2 C02 C02 CO2 never ending! oh mans. but i guess i answered correctly for the identification part.
and i liked my seat. was just next to the side rack where they placed the limewater, litmus papers, magnesium ribbons and stuff hahahhahhaa. just within 3 steps reach yay! i had to constantly bound for the differentf litmus papers cuz i was antsy bout the test fer gases. how could all of em possibly be CO2? so i kept leaping fer red and blue litmus papers to test for other plausible gases like chlorine/ ammonia bla bla. and i thought i smelt some pungent smell. aniwaes.
i attained the POP sound for hydrogen whoopee! sounds like some kinda big achievement huh. but its amusing and somehow lightens the mood and tension hanging in the lab when a loud POP goes and everyone get startled at first but a huge grins spread over their faces as they realise that hydrogen- the magical gas- is present. so the others dont have to test liao la. HAHA.
headed to the national library after that though. located at the basement named central lending library. it was cool. huge. but tangibly not enough seats i guess. and the books were kinda few, couldnt get hold of the book i wanted by catherine lim. =(
thats all. sorrie you had to endure my ramblings on chem practical HAHAHAHA. :D
