Phua Chu Kang Musical

[soundbite; Five for Fighting- Superman]

It was a night spent at the Indoor Stadium with my family, watching the Phua Chu Kang Musical! Unfortunately, the tickets my dad bought were undoubtedly the cheapest, so we were seated wayyyyyyy at the back! And couldn't even see the faces of the actors on stage! But we manage to last through the whole musical =D

The whole setting was beautiful, with the lightings and all... and a rainbow right above and across the stage!

Anyway, the main plot is that PCK's big and important 40th birthday is arriving, and he thinks his family has forgotten all about it. Then, he met his long lost brother- Phua Chu Kok. Yup. But actually, his "long-lost brother" isn't what he seems.

He's actually a relative of PCK's biggest enemy- Frankie Foo- sent to cheat and con PCK of all his properties, housings, businesses and money.

So the dumb dumb PCK was tricked into believing that he was going to die on his 40th birthday (bad premonitions and all, almost getting hit by a large object thrown from the top of a HDB flat).

He sillily (got such word?) signed his contract of will- thinking he would be handing over all his money into the good save hands of Chu Kok after he dies.

But HAHA, of course not lah, the contract stated that everything that PCK owns will belong to Frankie Foo!! (Oh no!!! -Gasps-)

However, Evil Frankie Foo had a heart attack while laughing too hard. (LOL)

And PCK saved his life by performing CPR on him - mouth-to-mouth resuscitation (EEW)!

And what do you know? Frankie Foo was TOUCHED, and decided to return the contract to PCK- which PCK promptly tore into bits and pieces.

Of course the story also involved lots of singing by every one of the cast, Chu Beng, Magaret, Rosie, Ah Ma and Frankie. Oh yah, and a fortune teller inside- Sheik Haikel. It's a musical! The orchestra and choir were good as well. But the PCK jokes weren't exactly funny.
