Wake the fuck up everyone! Asian Americans are NOT in control of our own image and identity. Time and time again, we are confronted with nonsensical, peculiar portrayals of Asians in television, print magazines, advertising, newspapers, and the Internet. Asian men are typically portrayed as kung fu masters, nerds, gays, or non-masculine. Asian women are meek/submissive or dragonladies. Do these bloody racist whites actually know what the true Asians are like? They ain't living in Asia. They don't know a thing. All they know is to discriminate, stereotype and look down upon Asians.
