Went to Australia : Melbourne on Monday to Christmas Day
On the plane there.. the Enetertainment system with movies and tv shows..had Pirates of the Carribean , Underworld, Good boy, My Boss's Daughter and others..
But ended up watching My Boss's Daughter only..starring Ashton Kutcher..cos pirates wtched b4.. and Underworld seems boring..
Upon arrival..~ Learnt many Aussie slangs .. Hahaz.
Although it was Summer..the weather was cold.. temperation 10-19 degrees..
Melbourne"s scenery is beautiful and nice< with the residents living in cottages and ground level houses>>
There are trams travelling on the roads too>>running by electrical wires above>>
There are even Horse Carraiges travelling on the roads.. extremely interesting..but Papa said it was too expensive..so we gave it a miss..
Went to Victoria Market and bought many souvenirs>>
Shops there are like normal shophouses in Singapore>>but they"re more "English" type>>
Next < headed to Melbourne Museum and St Patrick's Cathedral.. both were wonderful and marvellously built..
Most of the houses I found nice therE were those built in the 1800s.. the bricks were uniquely fit in and the whole buildings are just so grand.. took many pictures..BUT LAZY to UPLOAD here..
Next to Captain Cook's Cottage .. which is a long story of Aust's history
Christmas Eve...Warrook Cattle Farm~
Got to carry a baby lamb..feed them with milk bottles..milked a cow..watched the dog round up the sheeps..and also a farmer shearing sheep's wool..
2nd time doing such things..1st time was in Gold Coast Australia too..
Made a stop to feed kangaroos..cute! and also the koala bears which were even cuter! Also..2nd time..
And had Mini Golf..
At night, went to Philips Island.. waited at the beach..and slowly..colonies of penguins waded out..cute!! They were back from their swim and looking for their burrows..
Several shoals of them ran back to the sea after wading abit out of the water..due to the fear of danger and scaring from seagulls..
But eventually..all of them came up..
Got to see them up close.. they were walking just next to me..
How i wish could keep them as pets..but they're born wild..so can't..
Saw baby penguins in the burrows too.. they could even walk faster them me..!
Had a really fun and interesting time.. bought many souvenirs as usual..heeheez..
Haha.. celebrated Christmas countdown 3 hours earlier than Singapore too~~ :P
Cos Aust time 3hrs faster..hohoho..
Christmas Day..
All shops closed for celebration.. In Australia..Christmas isnt so commercialised as in Singapore where lights and decorations are everywhere on Orchard to attract tourists..
Christmas is really just this day to give and share and thank God for everything..also to sit down and have Turkey Dinner with one big family..
Houses were lit up and decorations put up..because their houses are like bungalows..so it's easy and nice..
just like the ones I watched in Home Alone 1, 2 & 3..
Anyway..took the tour to Great Ocean Road..
Saw really Crystal Clear Blue Ocean water..and Soft Golden Sand.. really really soothing and relaxing.. But the water was freezing.. colder than ice.. serious..
But I still managed to waddle abit in the water~
Also walked the cliffs and mountains..People were suntanning..sunbathing..surfing..surfboarding..jetskiing..windsurfing..and sailing..
As they say, Australia is about the Sun, Sea and Sand!
The Wind was freezing and strong high up on the cliffs.. took photos with the landscapes and historical sites.. Nice..
Boxing Day.. which is the day after Christmas..
Flew to Sydney~which is much more lively and the weather is much warmer and nicer..
On Boxing Day.. Many shops had 70% discount!! Woo.
Went to the well-known Opera House and Harbour Bridge..
At night..pubs and bars were open.. saw a guy performing and many people surrounded to watch..
Later then did he tell us he was the guy who appeared in The Tuxedo as a juggler in the background.. He travels Europe and America performing Circus + Skateboarding tricks to earn money..
Darling Harbour..a very nice place.. like the one in Finding Nemo where Marlin and Dory came up looking for Nemo.. I still remember the address.. Wallaby Way Sydney.. haha..
Headed to Blue Mountains National Park.. cool place with the cliffs.. bridges.. caves and sea and sand!
Also the rocks and plants.. Nature Scene~
Got to see the giant rock-formation of sandstone pillars named the Three Sisters.. took train down .. and cable car back up~
Stopped at the home of Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and visited the Olympic Village.. and got to know where were the olympic games held in 2000...
So far.. have visited Korea World Cup stadium.. Beijing Olympic Home for 2006..and this Sydney one~ nice!
It was a nice trip.. but experienced several discrimination..as usual.. the whites against the Chinese and blacks..
felt so fcuked up on some ocassions.. well whatever. if they wanna look down on others just let it be~
There are still some nice caucasians around.
Next Day.. Dolphin Watch Cruise on a boat~ Got to see 6 dolphins come up to the surface at a time!
Nice and cute..
Then went to Port Stephen's Resort.. and the Quad Bike..
It was real sand dunes .. like a desert..Got to ski down the slopes..Sand Toboganning..and tasted the underground water..and quad biking!
It's something like an open-air jeep.. and got to ride around.. but there were instructors..
Played in the cool water too.. picking up cockles..~
Day 7.. headed back to Sydney.. and off to Sydney Aquarium~
Got to see the clownfishes!! Nemo.. and also Blue Tang..Dory!! and the other fishes in the movie.. they specially places all of those fishes together.. and built Finding nemo Statues and Merchandise..
One of the World's largest aquariums with 5000+ fishes.. and penguins and crocodiles..
Then went to Sydney Fish Market..
A very big eating places where we dined by the sea.. got to see the pelicans and seagulls.. and thought of Finding Nemo again!
Haha.. With the boats and all..
At night..walked to Oxford Street with those bloody Gay and lesbians bars where sickos hang around watching some porn shows and taking drugs.. anyway... saw several caucasians men holding each other's waist and holding hands.. eeks...haizzz..
There was also King Cross Street where Ernie's colleagues hung around.. prostitiution if u know what I mean.. :P
Last Day.. went to see Mrs macquarie's chair.. long history again.. which I shall not type here..
And also some last minute shopping around Darling Harbour and Victoria Hall.. it's a very Rome type of Shopping Centre.. huge and nice.. just like those in Europe and England.. I like it.. with those clocks.. Christmas trees and Crosses.. bricks.. Nice
bought many stuff.. 5pm flight back to Singapore..
Showed even nicer movies!! happy.....Finding nemo, Freaky Friday, American Pie 3, Italiano & S.W.A.T
Watched Almost all.. Italiano is about 2 gay Italian guys.. haizyo..and AP3 also those about sex comedy.. that's y rated R(A) in Singapore.. hahahz.
Freaky Friday was nice! and Finding Nemo ..3rd time wtchin.. hahaz.
Anyway...Home Sweet Home.. Happy.. but I won't get to see him again..
