late in the night now..
saw sth online and thought of writing this..

it was the day

the day u walked out of my life
was the day i closed the door to my heart to anyone else

it was the day laughter ended
and thunder clouds rolled in

it was the day tears flowed without cease
it was the day grey clouds overshadowed my world

it was the day a hurricane invaded
it was the day everything was filled with gloom

it was the day the sky lost its colour
it was the day a smile vanished from my face and decided not to return

but today is the day
when i finally opened the door to my heart

it was the day my eyes brightened up
and laughter was never ceasing

it was the day the sun smiled at me
it was the day the blue sky was finally clear

it was the day a rainbow appeared across the sky
it was the day birds chirped melodiously

it was the day the grey clouds floated away
it was the day a smile reappeared upon my face

it was the day light shone into my world
it was the day filled with joy and hope
